Allowing Numed to connect using Zoho Assist

Numed uses Zoho Assist to connect to your computer or laptop remotely. This guide shows the steps on how to get us connected. If you need further information on Zoho Assist, please visit https://www.zoho.com/assist/faq.html.

We recommend using Google Chrome  to download Zoho Assist.

Starting Zoho Assist

  1. Open Google Chrome  
  2. Go to https://www.numed.co.uk/help, enter the session ID in the box and click Connect. The session ID will be provided by the support technician. 

  3. Enter your name (can be just your first name) and click Join Session


  4. Click Agree and Download 

  5. If Zoho Assist doesn't launch automatically click the downloads icon  in the top right-hand corner of your browser
  6. Double-click on ZA_Connect.exe, and the software will start running and attempt to connect.
  7. It may ask if you want to allow public and private networks. If you see this, click Cancel

  8. Once it has loaded, click Join to allow the Numed representative to connect to the PC
Connecting using MS Edge
  1. Open Microsoft Edge 
  2. Go to https://www.numed.co.uk/help, enter the session ID in the box and click Connect

  3. Enter your name (can be just your first name) and click Join Session


  4. Click Agree and Download 

  5. If Zoho Assist doesn't launch automatically, click the downloads icon  in the top right-hand corner of your browser
  6. Click Open
  7. If ZA_Connect starts running automatically, jump to step 12
  8. If the ZA_Connect download doesn't run automatically, you may need to tell Edge to keep the file. Locate ZA_Connect in your downloads by clicking 
  9.  Hover over ZA_Connect and click the 3 dots 

  10. Click Keep 
  11. Click the down arrow next to Delete and then select Keep anyway

  12. If need be, double-click on ZA_Connect.exe, and the software will start running and attempt to connect.
  13. It may ask if you want to allow public and private networks. If you see this, click Cancel
  14. Once it has loaded, click Join to allow the Numed representative to connect to the PC

  1. If you see the above window, first try clicking More info to see if that will allow you to Run Anyway
  2. If step one doesn't resolve, go to your Windows downloads folder via file explorer. 
    1. From within the browser, press CTRL+J on your keyboard to open up your download list
    2. Locate the option to show in the folder  
  3. In the folder, locate  and then right-click and select properties
  4. Put a tick in the Unblock tick box and then click OK

  5. Double-click ZA_Connect to run 
 

Edge Failing to Download
If your only browser option is Microsoft Edge, and it won't allow you to download and "keep" ZA Connect, follow the steps below. 
  1. Go to your download folder, the easiest way to do this is to click the folder symbol
  2. Locate the CRDOWNLOAD file 
  3. Rename the file by replacing .crdownload with .exe
  4. Double-click the file to run

Failing to run from downloads
If the downloaded ZA_Connect.exe fails to run once downloaded, you might need to run the file from a different location. 
  1. Go to the Downloads folder by clicking the folder symbol
  2. Drag ZA_Connect to the desktop

  3. Double-click ZA_Connect from the desktop to run.
