CardioScan User Guide - Setting up the CardioScan Holter

This guide shows how to prepare the CardioScan Holter ECG within the software.

  1. Plug the dongle into a spare USB port on the PC.  
  2. Plug the light grey download cable into a spare USB port on the PC.
  3. Plug the Holter recorder into the light grey download cable and ensure that a battery isn’t inserted into the recorder. Please note that the recorder will have a solid green LED light.
  4. Open the CardioScan software using the icon on the desktop. 
  5. Click Enroll

  6. The Start Time and Record Date need to be set to the time and date of the start of the Holter test. 
     
  7. Fill out the red ringed portions on the Pre-Input Patient Information box.

  8. Optional step: Click . This will allow you to print out a personalised diary for your patient to take with them and fill out while the test is in progress, which allows them to report symptoms while wearing the device. 
  9. Click .
  10. Click Yes.

  11. Click OK.
  12. You can now unplug the light grey download cable from the recorder and the PC. The device is now ready to be fitted to a patient.
