CodaSign Guide Part 7 - Using Apps

With CodaSign, you can link to external services which allow you to display the current weather, your X timeline and use Canva to create media. To use these, click on .

Weather

You can display the latest weather for your area. This will be updated at periodic intervals throughout the day so that it is always showing the correct information. To use follow these steps:
  1. Click .
  2. Click .
  3. Choose how you would like the temperature displayed, the options are Celsius and Farenheight.
  4. Type your location into the box and click .
    1. If it doesn't locate your exact location, try again with a nearby town or city. 
  5. If there are multiple instances of your location, click the dropdown menu to see all options and select your correct location. If the wrong location has appeared, click  and try again.
  6. You can see a preview of the current weather and how this would appear when playing on your Media Player. To save, click .

  7. This has created a piece of media you can include in your Playlists by clicking . 
  8. By clicking  , you can edit the name, default duration and description, or delete the weather. 

X integration

You can display your X timeline on your display. 
  1. Click .
  2. Click 

  3. Enter the X user name and choose how many items to show  and click .
  4. A preview of the timeline will appear. Click .
  5. This has created a piece of media you can include in your Playlists by clicking . 

Canva Integration

You can display your Canva designs either as a PDF or an MP4 on your display system. 
  1. Click .

  2. This will open canva.com in a separate tab. Providing you are already logged into Canva, it will allow you to link CodaSign to an existing design or create a new one.  
  3. Once you are in your Canva project, make sure that CodaSign is selected on the left-hand side. 
  4. If your CodaSign account is linked to multiple organisations, you will need to select which one the Canva design is being made for. 

  5. If required, you can search the CodaSign Media Library to find media to include in your design. Once you've found and clicked the item, it will add itself to your design. 
  6. Once your project is finished, click .

  7. Choose between saving your Canva project as either a PDF or an MP4 video. Then click .
  8. Your project will now appear as a piece of media that you can add to your Playlists by clicking .
