The Envisage Check-in system can connect with EMIS Web in two ways. You can either enable all staff who use the PC with the Envisage Check-in software installed, or set up a dedicated EMIS Web user account specifically for the check-in system.
If all users are enabled, the check-in will only function when a user is actively logged into EMIS Web. In contrast, using a dedicated check-in account allows the software to communicate with EMIS Web directly, regardless of whether it is open.

To allow Envisage Check-In to retrieve data from EMIS Web, users set up in the EMAS Manager must have access to the appointment book, including permission to amend session times and holders. Without this, the branch site data may not display.
Whichever option you choose, the software must be enabled and configured within EMAS Manager
Configuring EMAS Manager
In EMIS web, click on the EMIS ball
Click on System Tools
Click on EMAS Manager
Click on Partner API (bottom lefthand corner)
Scroll through the list of Partner APIs on the left-hand side until you locate Envisage Check-In. Then click at the top of the screen.
Make sure that the product has activated properly, then click
Make sure that all the required users have a tick against their name - to sort the list, click User to sort by surname or User Login to sort by ID - do not untick any user as this may cause issues with other products that communicate with EMIS web.
If requested, create a password for the user - if you are using a dedicated EMIS user account for the Envisage Check-In, this password will need to be entered in the software. Click OK once you've created the password, it will then show a tick against the users name.
Now click
Make sure that all the required users have 2 ticks against their name - to sort the list, click User to sort by surname or User Login to sort by ID. Click OK once done.
The Envisage Check-In is now configured within EMAS Manager.
