How to enable Inspiratory Spirometry

All of our guides show how to configure the SpiroConnect to perform expiratory Spirometry only. If you need to perform inspiratory spirometry, including tidal breathing and volume loops, please change the setting listed below.

  1. Open SpiroConnect Data Manager
  2. Click onto Settings
  3. On the Spirometry 1/2 tab you need to untick Expiratory Only Mode, then click OK

  4. If required, navigate to the Parameters tab and enable any additional parameters as needed. Our default parameters are typically sufficient for everyone performing both expiratory-only and inspiratory spirometry.
  5. Click OK
  6. Close the software down. 
  7. When you next go to perform spirometry, you will be able to perform inspiratory spirometry.
