Troubleshooting SD Card Write Protection Errors

Checking and Unlocking the SD Card

The machine stores all ECG files on a 2GB SD card located at the back of the device. This card has a lock switch that prevents files from being changed or deleted. Sometimes, the card may be accidentally locked or become write-protected due to other factors.

Important Note:

This device only supports 2GB SD cards. Higher-capacity cards will not function and should not be used.

Possible Causes of SD Card Write Protection:

  • The lock switch on the SD card is in the locked position.
  • The SD card is physically damaged or worn out.
  • The file system is corrupted due to improper removal or power loss.

How to Check if the SD Card is Locked:

  1. Eject the SD card from the back of the machine.
  2. Locate the small switch on the top left corner of the card.
  3. If the switch is all the way down or in the middle, the card is locked and write-protected.

How to Unlock the SD Card:

  • Gently slide the switch all the way to the top to unlock it.
  • Reinsert the SD card back into the machine.
