Body Cleaning
After each use, the unit should be wiped down with a damp but not overly moist alcohol-infused
wipe or other medically approved anti-viral wipes such as Clinell wipes. Take care to ensure that
no liquid enters the unit itself.
Turbine Cleaning
The frequency of turbine cleaning and sterilization is up to the users' own infection control policies
and procedures.
Remove the turbine by rotating the mouthpiece holder assembly anti-clockwise by 90o and gently
pulling from the main body. Take care not to over-twist the green dome as this may cause
damage.
Routine Cleaning
For routine cleaning, the turbine can be submerged in warm, soapy water, rinsed, and then left to
air dry (see drying guidance below).
Sterilising the Turbine with RelyOn+ PeraSafe
To sterilise the turbine with RelyOn+ PeraSafe, you must create the solution as per the
manufacturer's instructions (see below). The turbine can then be soaked for 10 minutes only - do
not exceed this time - and rinsed using drinking water*. It is vital that you rinse off the PeraSafe.
Once rinsed, the turbine can be left to air dry (see drying guidance below).
*If limescale deposits form on any part of the turbine, then de-ionised, distilled or sterile water
should be used instead of drinking water.
Please note that no other sterilising solution should be used, as wrong or improper use can cause
damage to your turbine which isn’t covered under warranty.
Drying Guidance
The turbine must only be left to air dry; please do not use cloth, paper towel or cotton buds to dry
your turbine. Do not wrap your turbine in paper or cloth either. Do not stick anything inside the
turbine tube at the mouthpiece or bottom ends.
RelyOn+ PeraSafe mixing instructions
Mix 1 sachet or 16.2g PeraSafe with 1 litre of lukewarm (30-35oC) water until all powder has
dissolved and the solution has turned a clear blue/green colour, PeraSafe is fully activated after 15
minutes, and the solution will go clear after approximately 30 minutes.
The solution can be used once activated and should be stored at room temperature. It is
recommended that PeraSafe is prepared not more than 1 hour before use. The solution should be
discarded after 24 hours or 8 hours after 1st use, whichever comes first.
