SpiroConnect with Intelligent Integration Interface User Guide
To use your SpiroConnect with the Intelligent Integration Interface and link to a clinical system, follow the steps below to use your SpiroConnect spirometer.
- Insert the serial-numbered dongle into a spare USB port on the PC.

- Insert a mouthpiece onto the SpiroConnect device.
- Open the patient's record in the clinical system.
- INPS Hosted & INPS Aeros sites must ensure that Numed
Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop.
- Open the Intelligent Integration Interface (I3). This can be found on your desktop or start menu.

- Click the
button
- Choose Spirometry
- Confirm your patient details are correct and click Yes

- Power on the SpiroConnect by pressing the green button located on the top of the device and wait for the connected message to appear in the bottom left-hand corner of the software.
- Click on Relaxed Spirometry

- Click
. - Instruct your patient to perform their first relaxed blow.
- If the quality of the blow is acceptable, select
and repeat step 11. If the blow is of unacceptable quality, select
and complete the blow once more. A minimum of three blows of acceptable quality attempts would normally be performed.
- Once the blows have been completed, click the
button in the bottom right corner.
- Click
in the bottom left-hand side to begin your forced blows.
- Instruct your patient to perform their first forced blow.
- If the quality of the blow is acceptable, select
and repeat step 15. If the blow is of unacceptable quality, select
and complete the blow once more. A minimum of three blows of acceptable quality attempts would normally be performed.
- Once the blows have been completed, click the
button in the bottom right corner.
- Now that you have completed baseline testing, click
and then close the software down.
- Please complete this even if you are performing reversibility and post-bronchodilator testing.
- The I3 software will then show you a summary of the coded entries and values that can be filed back to your clinical system. These can be selected and deselected as required.

- If you are only performing baseline testing, click File to send the results to the clinical system.
- If you are performing reversibility, click File results after POST tests are completed. This will close the software down and allow you to see another patient before you start the POST tests.
- When you are ready to start your POST testing, open the patient's record in the clinical system.
- INPS Hosted & INPS Aeros sites must ensure that Numed Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop.
- Open the Intelligent Integration Interface (I3). This can be found on your desktop or start menu.

- Click the
button
- Choose Spirometry
- Confirm your patient details are correct and click Yes

- Click Yes to view the existing examination

- To perform your post BD tests, choose the relevant Add post 1 button for the first set of tests you wish to perform

- Instruct your patient to perform their first post BD blow.
- If the quality of the blow is acceptable, select
and repeat step 10. If the blow is of unacceptable quality, select
and complete the blow once more. A minimum of three blows of acceptable quality attempts would normally be performed.
- Once the blows have been completed, click the
button in the bottom right corner.
- If you have just performed Post 1 (Relaxed) blows, repeat steps 26 to 28 for
.
- Now that you have completed baseline testing, click
and then close the software down. - The I3 software will then show you a summary of the coded entries and values that can be filed back to your clinical system. These can be selected and deselected as required.

- Click File to send your results to the clinical system. A message will be displayed when the data filing completes successfully, and the process is complete.
