Using your Universal Smart ECG System with Integration

This guide will show you how to use your Universal Smart ECG System and integrate it into your clinical system. This guide can also be used for the older Universal USB devices.

  1. Connect the Universal Smart ECG System to your PC or Laptop.

  1. If needed, use a 5m ATEN extension cable to reach between the PC and the examination couch. 
  1. Open the patient's record in the clinical system
  1. Vision customers must ensure that the Numed Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop.

  1. Double-click the I3 icon, which is usually found on your taskbar or desktop.

  2. Click the Start button

  3. Select ECG from the product selection screen
  1. If you have more than one ECG system, you may need to select Universal ECG
  1. Confirm the patient's details are correct and then click Yes
  2. The patient's ECG will then appear on screen
  3. Once you are happy with the ECG trace, click Save to send the ECG report to I3
  4. Add any comments and then click Send

  5. Click OK to complete the process

  6. The ECG will now be filed into the patient record in the clinical system.
