Using your CardioSoft CAMConnect ECG with Integration

This guide will show you how to use your GE CardioSoft PC Based 12 Lead Resting ECG System and integrate it into your clinical system. This guide can also be used for the older CAM-USB devices.
  1. Connect the CardioSoft ECG System to your PC or Laptop.
  2. Open the patient's record in the clinical system
    1. Vision Hosted and AEROS sites must ensure that the Numed Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop
  3. From your desktop, open the Intelligent Integration Interface
  4. Click 
  5. Select ‘ECG’ - if you have more than one ECG system, you may need to select ‘GE CAM-USB’ 
  6. If enabled, it will ask you to choose your device, use the drop-down to select the correct device.
  7. Confirm the patient’s details are correct, then click . Height and weight can be treated as optional.

  8. You can now connect your patient to the ECG machine, and you should see traces going across the screen

  9. In the top right corner of the screen is your Hook test; this is also shown on the box portion of the ECG machine (if a CAMConnect).
    1. Green lights mean that a particular position is receiving a good ECG signal

    2. Red light means that the lead is disconnected from the patient

    3. An orange light means that the lead has a poor quality connection to the patient

  10. To capture your ECG, click ECG Acquisition on the right-hand side

  11. Review the ECG captured at the top of the screen

  12. If you are not happy with the trace, adjust your patient and press ECG Acquisition again to overwrite the captured trace

  13. If you are happy with the captured trace, click Post Test Review

  14. From the review screen, close the window down to start the file back to the clinical system

  15. Click  on the filing screen to file everything back to your clinical system
