Using your CardioSoft CAMConnect ECG without Integration
If your clinical system is down or you are not connected to the internet, follow the steps in the guide below to take, print, and export your ECG as a PDF.
This guide can also be used for CAM-USB devices.
- Connect the CardioSoft ECG System to your PC or Laptop.

- From your desktop, open the CardioSoft
program

- Click New Test in the top right-hand
corner

- Ensure that Resting ECG is selected,
then select New Patient

- Fill in the New Patient form at the
bottom of the screen. I recommend that you fill out all fields. For the Patient
ID, We recommend using the NHS number for England and Wales, or the CHI number for
Scotland. The height and Weight of the
patient are optional. Then click accept

- Now click New Test Resting ECG

- You can now connect your patient to
the ECG machine, and you should see traces going across the screen

- In the top right corner of the screen
is your hookup test; this is also displayed on the box portion of the ECG machine (if a CAMConnect is used).
- Green lights mean that a particular
position is receiving a good ECG signal

- Red light means that the lead is
disconnected from the patient

- An orange light means that the lead has a
poor quality connection to the patient

- To capture your ECG, click ECG
Acquisition on the right-hand side

- Review
the ECG captured at the top of the screen

- If
you are not happy with the trace, adjust your patient and press ECG Acquisition
again to overwrite the captured trace

- If
you are happy with the captured trace, click Post Test Review

- From
the review screen, you can print the ECG from the Print button on the right-hand
side

- When
the window closes, it will automatically export a PDF file to C:\CARDIO\Export.
