Using Your Schiller MS-12 ECG machine with Integration

This guide shows how to perform an ECG using your Schiller MS-12 ECG machine and link the results to your clinical system.

Acquiring a Resting ECG

  1. Connect the Schiller MS-12 ECG System to your PC or Laptop
  2. Open the patient's clinical record in your clinical system
    1. Vision Hosted and AEROS sites must ensure that the Numed Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop
  3. Double-click the I3 icon, which is typically located on your desktop or Start menu. 

  4. Click the Start button

  5. Select ECG from the product selection screen - if you have more than one ECG system, you may need to select Schiller CS-104.

  6. Confirm the patient details are correct, then click Yes.

  7. Click on Resting ECG

  8. The patient's ECG will then appear on screen.

  9. Once you are happy with the ECG trace, click the Auto button or the Start button on the machine to capture the most recent 10 seconds of ECG.

  10. To begin the filing process, click the Store recording button.

  11. After a few seconds, the filing box will appear, add any applicable comments and click Send. 

  12. A confirmation message that your ECG has successfully uploaded will appear; click OK.

Acquiring a Rhythm ECG

  1. Open the patient's clinical record in your clinical system
    1. Vision Hosted and AEROS sites must ensure that the Numed Enterprise Link software is running on the remote desktop
  2. Double-click the I3 icon, which is typically located on your desktop or Start menu. 
  3. Click the Start button

  4. Select ECG from the product selection screen - if you have more than one ECG system, you may need to select Schiller CS-104.
  5. Confirm the patient details are correct, then click Yes.

  6. Click on Rhythm ECG

  7. The patient's ECG will then appear on screen.

  8. Once you are happy with the ECG trace, click the Rhythm (2 min) button

  9. .If required, change the Rhythm length and then click Start

  10. If you spot an event that needs highlighting, click the Manual event button. 

  11. The Rhythm recording will stop automatically at the end of the selected time. If you wish to stop it early, click Stop.
  12. To begin the filing process, click the Store recording button.

  13. After a few seconds, the filing box will appear, add any applicable comments and click Send. 

  14. A confirmation message that your ECG has successfully uploaded will appear; click OK.
