MAC 600 ECG Machine without Integration User Guide
To use your GE MAC 600 ECG machine and print out the results without integrating a PDF back to the clinical system, please follow the steps below.
Normal 12-lead ECG report
- Connect the patient leads to the MAC 600 ECG
system, ensuring that they are correctly oriented and fully inserted. See GE MAC 600 ECG Machine Patient Leads for further details.

- Power on the device.
- Press the ‘F1’ key to access the patient details
screen.

- Enter your patient’s details using the keypad
and arrow pad. To confirm the details, press the white circle which is located
in the centre of the arrow pad.
- Note: we recommend that NHS customers use the NHS number or CHI number if in Scotland.

- To check the quality of your ECG, use the trace
indicator, which is located in the top right of the screen.
- Note: Green symbolises good connectivity with
the patient. Orange symbolises poor quality due to interference or poor
connection to the patient, and Red indicates possible lead disconnections

- To capture your ECG trace, press the green ‘ECG
acquisition’ button.

- If the captured ECG meets your requirements,
press the ‘F1’ button to print the report out.

- Note: If you would like to store your ECG on the machine,
press the ‘F3’ button before printing.
- Power off the system and remove the lead wires
from the patient

Printing a 3-lead rhythm strip
To print out a 3-lead rhythm strip, first hook up your patient as normal, then press
