SpiroConnect Installation Guide without Integration

This guide shows how to install and configure SpiroConnect Data Manager without Intelligent Integration Interface (I3) integration. Please note that the settings shown are our default configuration; they can be adjusted if clinically required. Also, if you work with Civica G2 Occupational Health software, you will need to contact Civica to organise the integration for this software. 

Installation of SpiroConnect Data Manager

  1. Download and extract https://downloads.numed.co.uk/software/medchip/SpiroConnect.zip. 
  2. Run as administrator SpiroConnect.exe
  3. Confirm that the wireless dongle isn’t connected to the PC and click OK 
  4. Put a tick in the desktop shortcut box and click Next Graphical user interface, text, application, emailDescription automatically generated

  6. Plug the dongle into the PC and click OK.

Configuration of SpiroConnect Data Manager

  1. If you get this message, it means that the dongle hasn’t been inserted into the PC Proceed by clicking OK. Graphical user interface, text, applicationDescription automatically generated
  2. As steps 1,2, click OK.

  3. As step 8, click OK – please note if the dongle was plugged, in steps 8 to 10 can be skipped. Graphical user interface, text, applicationDescription automatically generated
  4. If the software asks you to set a database, this can be set to wherever you would like it to be, including a networked location. We recommend leaving it as the default location. Please make sure that the folder where the database is created has read/write permission applied.
  5. Click Settings

  6. Set the display as below.

  4. Set Spirometry Printout, you can set the Report Title and Signature to meet your own needs and click OK when done.

  5. If you did make any changes, you will get the following message: Click OK. Graphical user interface, text, applicationDescription automatically generated
  6. If ArtiQ has been purchased, please go to the end for additional settings and instructions. 
  7. Run the SpiroConnect - ApplyDefaultSettings(Run as Administrator).bat  as Administrator. This will then copy the settings to all Windows User Accounts on that PC. Press any key when done. TextDescription automatically generated

ArtiQ Integration


If ArtiQ has been purchased from Clario, the following 2 steps will be needed. 
  1. In Spirometry 1/2, ensure Show %Chg vs PRED is ticked.d

  1. On the ArtiQ tab, enter the Key ID and Key Secret supplied by Clario (ArtiQ) here.
