Installation of your CodaSign Patient Call

Installation of your CodaSign Patient Call

Locating where to place the Patient Call

The correct location for your Patient Call device depends on the clinical system used at your surgery:
  1. EMIS Web – typically installed in the comms cabinet or server room.
  2. TPP SystmOne – can be connected to either a reception PC or the Gateway PC.
  3. Vision – must be connected to a reception PC.

Setting up the Patient Call Hardware

  1. Unpack all items from the packaging.
  2. Check the power cable, ensuring the power supply and UK plug are firmly clipped together.
  3. Connect the power supply to the Patient Call unit, making sure the connector aligns with the grooves. The cable should push in securely.
  4. Connect the Ethernet/network cable to the network port.

  5. Connect the Ethernet/network cable to the LAN port next to the power port on the Patient Call, ensuring it clicks into place.
  6. Power on the Patient Call by pressing the button on the front of the unit. A blue light will illuminate inside the button once it has fully powered on.

Additional Configuration

  1. If you are using TPP SystmOne or Vision, refer to How to install the PC cable for Patient Call for instructions on connecting the device to the reception or Gateway PC.
